The mission of the Advisory Board of Webicina that features key opinion leaders in health 2.0, participatory healthcare and the e-patient movement is to ensure transparency and also to help us make our applications and services as efficient as possible. Phil Baumann is a registered nurse who earned his BSN from Drexel University and blogs about how social software can be used most effectively in health care. He is actively engaged in ongoing discussions about health care technologies and how the Web is rapidly changing the way we communicate, collaborate and live our daily lives. He is a blogger, consultant, workshop leader and speaker who helps organizations and the public at large understand the opportunities and challenges which the Web poses from a health care perspective. He is also part of the Better Health Network of medical bloggers and founded #RNchat, which is the first real-time conversation of registered nurses on Twitter. He's passionate about evolving technologies and explores the relationship between social software and health care on his blog. Dr Mike Cadogan, a graduate of the University of Edinburgh and Oxford, is a senior emergency physician at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Western Australia and resuscitation doctor for the Western Force rugby team. Recognising the need for enhanced medical information distribution in Australia both at a structural and an educational level, he created an interactive intranet learning platform in 2006 to facilitate e-learning using high quality multimedia content. Alexandra Carmichael is co-founder of CureTogether, a Health 2.0 company that brings patients with hundreds of conditions together in overlapping data communities. Alexandra has spent 15 years bridging gaps between life science research, internet technologies, design, and business. She is currently a research affiliate at Institute for the Future, guest blogger at The Quantified Self, advisor to a number of startups, and a prolific Tweeter on topics of health and chronic conditions @accarmichael. Alexandra lives with a chronic condition herself, and is dedicated to changing the way health decisions are made, using the power of the crowd.

Diagnosed in 2007 with advanced kidney cancer, e-Patient Dave deBronkart rapidly learned to use every aspect of empowerment, technology, and participatory medicine to beat the odds. A founding co-chair of the Society for Participatory Medicine, in 2009 he became an international spokesman for the e-patient movement, and in 2010 left his previous career to work full time in transforming healthcare.

Dr. Ves Dimov is Board-certified Internal Medicine Physician, former Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University, Board-eligible Allergist and Immunologist, and Member of the New England Journal of Medicine Advisory Board for Students and Residents. Susannah Fox studies the cultural shifts taking place at the intersection of technology and health care. Her survey research has documented The Social Life of Health Information as well as the fact that participation matters as much as access. Fox contributes to a health care blog, e-patients.net, and is the former editor of the website for U.S. News & World Report, winner of the 2001 National Magazine Award for General Excellence in New Media. She has also worked as a researcher for RealNetworks and for The Harwood Group. Fox graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in anthropology.

Kerri Morrone Sparling was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on September 11, 1986. She started her blog, Six Until Me, in May of 2005 because she was tired of Googling "diabetes" and coming up with little more than a list of complications and frightening stories. She couldn't find what she was looking for, so she decided to create the outlet for herself. One of the first diabetes patient bloggers, Kerri is also a freelance writer, diabetes advocate, and new media consultant. She speaks regularly at Health 2.0 conferences and contributes to many health websites and publications.

Denise Silber is the founder-president of Paris-based Basil Strategies, ehealth emarketing consultants and co-producers of Health 2.0 Europe 2010. Denise has been an eHealth expert and evangelist since the mid-'90's in Europe and the US. Her first company, a medical communications agency, built some of the early medical web sites in Europe. Denise is a frequent public speaker, author, and blogger on eHealth and Health 2.0 subjects, as well as the founder of the French Association for the Quality of Health Care on the Internet. She holds an MBA from Harvard and an undergraduate degree from Smith and is president of PharMBA.
